Amazon Prime Day is almost here, with tons of limited-time discounts set to run from July 16 to 17. In the lead-up to the sale, members can already snag an early Kindle Unlimited Prime Day deal that offers an extended three-month free trial

Kindle Unlimited is Amazon’s subscription service for e-books. Members get access to over four million titles, thousands of audiobooks, and select digital magazines. The service pairs seamlessly with the best Kindles but also works via the Kindle app on iOS and Android devices, as well as Macs, PCs, and web browsers. Kindle Unlimited typically costs $12 a month, so this deal saves you a total of $36. Once your three-month trial is over, your plan will renew for the regular price unless you cancel. This promo is only available for Amazon Prime members, and it’s not clear when it expires. For more savings, be sure to check out our roundup of all the best Prime Day deals.

When is Amazon Prime Day?

Prime Day 2024 is set for July 16 and 17. The sale is expected to begin at 12 a.m. PT/3 a.m. ET on July 16, and will run for 48 hours.

Are Prime Day Kindle Unlimited deals worth it?

Yes, we often see great discounts on Kindle Unlimited both right before and during Amazon Prime Day. Right now, Prime members can already snag three months for free, and we expect this deal to continue through the sale. It’s not clear if Amazon will offer any better promotions once Prime Day officially begins.

What Kindle Unlimited deals do we expect for Prime Day?

Since Amazon is already offering an excellent three-month free trial for Kindle Unlimited ahead of Prime Day, it’s unclear whether it will offer a different promotion once Prime Day begins. The current deal matches similar discounts we’ve seen during Prime Day sales in the past.

Who can shop Prime Day deals?

Amazon Prime Day deals are typically exclusive to Prime members. This includes the current extended free trial for Kindle Unlimited. An Amazon Prime membership costs $15 a month or $139 a year.

However, Amazon occasionally offers alternate deals on subscription services for non-Prime members. For example, during Amazon’s October Prime Day sale in 2023, non-members could get two months of Kindle Unlimited for a discounted price of $5. We’ll have to wait and see if Amazon offers a similar promo this year.
